What Our Clients Say
Mr Liu & Mr Lu
Cofounders, Recycling Company
Thanks for a great effort from your professional team. We learnt so much and are clear about our futures.
Furthermore, we will continue to work with you and your post-visa business team. We will try our best. Dinner is on us!
Background
Having graduated from postgraduate studies at an university in the UK, two Chinese students, Mr Liu and Mr Lu, were intent on building together their own recycling business with farming applications.
Their start-up has developed an innovative way to solve the problems of food waste while benefiting the farming industry at the same time.
Problem
Being their recent postgraduates, the duo naturally assumed that it would be more straightforward for them to apply via their UK university for their Start-up visas.

However, their applications were rejected because they had not shown a clear route to market, and demonstrated a workable business model or pricing structure.
Solution
Feeling rather deflated at this point and without clear guidance from the university, the 2 co-founders then turned to Invest and Consult for assistance. Having reviewed their business idea and the university’s verdict of their initial failed applications, our business consultants concluded that the company did have a fundamentally sound business concept, and hence we would be able to assist them.

In the space of four weeks, our team of experts dissected their business plans, pinpointed and addressed the problem areas and ensured that the co-founders were fully prepared for the meetings with the Endorsing Body. This included consultation with the Endorsing Body.

Less than a week after applying for endorsement, we managed to secure a first meeting slot for the team. By the end of the meeting, the Endorsing Body were so satisfied with the team’s revised business plan and performances that they even issued the endorsement letters on the same day.

But the good news did not stop there. In just after two weeks, Mr Liu and Mr Lu finally received the Home Office letters, formally informing them that their Start-up visa applications were successful.
Outcome
In total, the entire process took Mr Liu and Mr Lu just four weeks. We engaged with the client on the 20th February and the Home Office confirmation letter was issued on the 18th March.
The speed and efficiency at which Invest and Consult was able to rectify the team’s initial failed applications are a testament to our business expertise and deep understanding of the visa application process. It must also be said that we applaud the team involved in this application.
