What Our Clients Say

Jackie and Shawn

Investors, Emile

We considered your team to be an extension of our families and are thankful for the support during some difficult personal times. We appreciated the professional work and dedication. We've always been secure in the knowledge that you have our best interests at heart. We have no problem in recommending you to our families or friends.

Background

The company was originally a spin out from Manchester University, and had been jointly funded by the UK government and the European Union. The university's original objective was to create a pedological primary school online learning platform using gaming and linked to the core curriculum.

Problem

The company now needed additional funding to commercialise the intellectual property and take the product to market. In addition, the business required individuals who could help achieve the commercialisation and had specific knowledge of their target markets in Asia.

The core product was in a nearly complete state but required a user interface to be developed that was unique and innovative to differentiate from other products in the market.

Solution

We found two investors that had complementary skills for the investee company. Both of whom had relevant experience and background in the target market.

In addition, they also had relevant technical skills. We assisted the investors to secure their interests in any future intellectual property. We also worked in conjunction with the joint venture partner to secure new government funding.

Outcome

Both investors received their visas on individual dates according to their family situation.

The business has now transitioned into a fully commercial operation, while the two investors have already passed the first check point with the Endorsing Body. Furthermore, the company is ahead of its sales forecast and development plan.

Also, as a result of Covid, the UK government has invited the company to develop a more non-academic orientated education gaming product.
